Thomas Louis Buvelot Esson (1878-1943) was a journalist, poet and playwright.
This volume is a representative collection of his prose fiction, journalism and commentary. Esson was a regular contributor to The Bulletin, The Socialist and The Lone Hand (amongst other magazines) where his topics included art, drama and politics; he was, for a short time, Editor of the Bathurst National Advocate; a football commentator for Melbourne Punch; and theatre critic for The Triad (later New Triad).
