Griffin Rising: The First Decade of the Griffin Theatre Company

The Griffin Theatre Company is an Australian professional company committed exclusively to producing both new and heritage Australian plays. It was formed as a co-operative in 1979 by a cohort of recent NIDA graduates with a view to providing an alternative to Sydney's established boulevard theatre enterprise. This volume, the first of three, trances the development of the Company over the first decade--the 80s--an extraordinary generational transition in Australian drama and theatre history.
